Is the patient app really free?

Yes. Individual mode is free, with no paid plan to choose and no card required. You need a free VOSS account. The paid Individual Clinician plan is a separate offer for healthcare professionals.

Is this the same as my doctor’s patient portal?

No. This is your personal health companion. It does not automatically connect to your doctor’s records, show their clinical notes, or send your conversations to them. You can choose to share your visit-preparation summary yourself.

Am I chatting with a healthcare professional?

No. Replies come from AI. Your doctor does not monitor these conversations. Use VOSS to organize information and questions for a healthcare professional, not for diagnosis or emergency care.

Where are my conversations stored?

Your patient sessions, chats, and summaries are saved on your device. AI features send audio or text to our backend and AI providers for processing; this is different from storing a copy in your VOSS account. Your account holds your name, country, email, and content-free usage counts. Read our privacy policy for details.

Can I use patient mode in the web app?

Patient mode is available in the mobile app. The VOSS web workspace is for clinicians. On iOS, download VOSS Health and choose Individual during setup.

Can I record my appointment?

VOSS can record and summarize your own appointment. Before recording, ask everyone taking part for their agreement. The app asks you to confirm that agreement before it starts.
